I study Marketing at the University of Southern Mississippi as a senior, but by the end of May, I’ll be an alumna. My interest in marketing flourished the last four years as I held leadership positions across campus. I learned when to be a more vocal leader, how to listen, the necessity of self-motivation, and the beauty that is created in the details of high-quality work. This encouraged my creativity, optimism, and taught me how to work as for and with a team. People never cease to amaze me, and it’s important we learn to include individuals from a variety of backgrounds and personality types in our work. I translated those values learned on this campus to my work with marketing at my internship here in Hattiesburg. In a couple of short months, I’ll be pursuing a life-long career in this field and can’t wait to learn from and contribute to its success.
